This presentation describes the Leo Baeck Institute collections of interest to researchers of German Jewish families; how to find material and best utilize the collections.


Karen S. Franklin is the Director of Family History at the Leo Baeck Institute, New York. She is a past president of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies and a recipient of its 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award. She also served as Co-Chair of the Board of Governors of JewishGen.org.
